Creating a custom portrait typically begins when you send me photos. Choose the best possible photographs you have available. Then we will have a conversation about how you see the finished piece in terms of style, color, size, etc. At that point I can give you a cost estimate. The art can be created to fit your budget. I will do a rough draft first for your approval, and then, we move to the final painting. When finished, I will get your approval again. The communication process with clients is fun and I want the piece to be special to you when it is complete.

Pricing for Portraits of People and Pets
Prices start at $200.00 for a pencil or charcoal drawing, and go up to the $2000.00 range for a large oil portrait. The "Jensen" painting would average around $800.00, and "Murphy" would average $500.00. Generally, a simpler background would keep the price lower.
