People and animals are the focus of my children's illustration as expressions and body language provide a narrative.
Pencil in combination with Adobe Creative Suite are my choice for mixed media.

I have a BFA from Southern Illinois University in Art Education,
an MFA from the University of Houston in Graphics and Illustration, and an endorsement in Special Education.
As a teaching artist, I work with students in a high-poverty,
high-minority urban school district--teaching drawing and design and art for special needs students.

I have worked with several publishers as well as individuals and organizations creating commissioned pieces.
